INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE -2025

The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed at Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura, with a thoughtful and impactful programme organized to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse among students.

The event commenced with a soulful prayer rendered by the school choir, setting a solemn tone for the day. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Shikha R of Class IX C, who greeted the gathering and introduced the purpose of the event.

The chief guest for the day, Shri Suresh M.F., Assistant Excise Commissioner, delivered an enlightening and powerful address. He spoke about the alarming rise in drug abuse among the youth and the importance of awareness, education, and vigilance in combating this menace. His words served as a wake-up call and left a lasting impact on the audience.

Pournami Detthan of Class XI C led the gathering in taking the Anti-Drug Day Pledge, reaffirming the collective commitment to stay away from drugs and to spread awareness among peers.

A thought-provoking dance performance was presented by the students of Classes X and XII, portraying how the youth fall prey to drugs and the devastating consequences that follow. The performance was both emotional and educational, receiving a resounding round of applause from the audience.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Shikha R (IX C), who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, teachers, and students who contributed to the success of the event. The national anthem was sung in unison, marking the end of the programme.

The observance of this day served as a powerful reminder to all students to stay informed, stay strong, and say a firm "No to Drugs."
