ANNUAL REPORT 2023-2024

The time has come to look back and count on the blessings showered upon us by Lord Almighty. I take great pleasure in presenting the Annual Report of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura.

EXEMPLARY ACHIEVEMENTS IN ACADEMICS

Academic excellence stands as the hallmark of any reputable institution, and the remarkable performance in both the Class X and XII results at our school unequivocally demonstrates that our students have brought immense pride to our institution.

Out of the 116 students enrolled for the SSCE, 100 students attained distinction, with 13 of them achieving A1 in all subjects. Abhay Prasad excelled in the Science stream, securing 96%, while Ankitha M V emerged as the school topper in the Commerce Stream with  97%. In the SSE, out of the 113 students enrolled, 95 students achieved distinction, and 7 of them earned A1 in all subjects. ADVAITH ANILKUMAR E secured 494/500 (98.8%), earning the coveted position of school topper in the SSE.

SCHOOL GOVERNANCE COUNCIL

Led by Senior Head Boy Nakul J Menon, Senior Head Girl Gauri V Nair, and Senior Sports Captain Sidharth Varma, the school council is composed of Captains and prefects from each House.

GUIDES AND BULBULS

In the pursuit of holistic education, Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura, takes pride in nurturing not only academic excellence but also character development and leadership skills among its students. A significant milestone in this journey was the establishment of the Guides in our school in 2017.The Guides at Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram have displayed enthusiasm and dedication through various activities, such as planting trees on World Environment Day, cleaning the Shiva temple premises on Gandhi Jayanti, participating proudly in the Independence Day Parade at Kakkanad Collectorate Ground, and actively engaging in school events like Praveshanolsavam, School Sports Day, and maintaining discipline during school dispersal. These actions underscore their commitment to the environment, school community, and service to humanity.

In commemoration of Sri Varghese Kurian's birthday, known as the father of the White Revolution, a team of 66 Guides accompanied by three teachers - Smt. Shaly Kuriakose, Smt. Juby T J, and Smt. Lilly Abraham - visited Milma Dairy at Tripunithura. This educational excursion aimed to deepen the students' understanding of the dairy industry and its impact on agriculture and the economy.

The Guides who qualified in the State Training Camp were presented with Rajya Puraskar certificates by Smt Meena Viswanathan, Senior Academic Consultant, Bhavan's Kochi Kendra.

This academic year marked the commencement of the Bulbul programme. The Bulbul system is a program within the Bharat Scouts and Guides organization specifically designed for young girls between the ages of 5 and 10.

The grand Investiture Ceremony of the Bulbuls and the junior batch of Guides was held at our school on 21 December 2023, marking the formal induction of these young leaders into their respective roles, setting the stage for a transformative experience. Lieutenant Colonel Vinu T M, was the Chief guest of the day

 ACCOLADES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS 

Our students have actively engaged in a multitude of National, State, and zonal inter-school competitions, securing accolades in the realms of art, culture, and sports.

  • In the CBSE Skill Expo 2023-24 organised  at Trivandrum   Our team consisting of   Anuvind & Shreyas of Std Xl has been selected for the Nationals .
  • The Yi  Kochi Chapter conducted the Young Journalist 2023 competition in collaboration with Asianet News and our team secured the First prize comprising a cash award of Rs.7500 and certificates.
  • In the Inter School Science Exhibition Cum Competition SCIENTIA, organised by The Choice School, Tripunithura, our school team comprising of ANUVIND E N and SHREYAS PARTHAJE  of Class XI  won FIRST PRIZE and a cash prize of Rs.3000/- for their exhibit on the topic,    Harvesting the future: Physics Powered Sustainable Farming.

Our students bagged prizes in various inter-school cultural competitionsconducted by city schools . We emerged Champions in the inter-school Tech Fest ‘Pratheeksha 2023’ conducted by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, champions in Inter School Art and Craft competition, 'LABYRINTH' organised by Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad, Runner’s up in ‘Spiritus’, organised by Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidyamandir, Cheppanam, first Runner’s up in KAIROS, an Inter-school competition organised by Assisi Vidyaniketan Public school, Chempumukku

  • In the Sahodaya Fest, Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura emerged as Runners up in Category I, Overall Champions in Category II and 2nd Runners up in Categories I to IV. The following students secured various prizes.
  • In the XXV All Kerala Bhavan’s Fest, Our students have done us proud by winning various prizes .In category 2&3 we secured 4th position , We bagged 4th position in category 4 and runners up in category 5.
  • Our school emerged  the First Runners up in the  TocH interschool  'Orateur Eloquent' Public speaking competition. Arundathi K of Class XI A won the First prize in English Elocution, 'SPEECH CRAFT'  and Nakul  J Menon of Class XII C won the third position in Impromptu ‘OFF THE CUFF' .
  • In the Inter School musical - instrumental competition     'NADHANIRJHARI' conducted by Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal, Rajnarayan Nair of Std XI emerged First in  Mridangam,Poornima Manoj of Std XI secured Second in Anuradha Paudval Bhajan and Dyuthi Ajesh of Std VIII secured Third in Swathithirunal Kriti.
  • In the Inter School cultural competition 'FRESCO'  conducted by Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Public school,Kakkanad,Malavika Manoj of Std VIII received the Best Artist Award for Strokes - watercolour painting and Aswathy T R of Std XI secured III in Verse and Prose.
  • In the Inter School cultural competition VISTA 23  organised by Rajagiri  Public school, Kalamassery our students secured  the  First Prize in    Listen to Your Art and the  Second Prize in Muthuchippi Competition.
  • In Funzione Trigonometrica, a  Paper Presentation on Trigonometry in real life conducted by Bhavans News Print Vidyalaya -our team secured the Third prize.
  • In the Inter School Tinkering Fest organised by Bhavan's Vidyamandir, Girinagar our team secured second in ‘Plan For Sustainability’ and third in ‘Conversion For Conservation’.
  • In the Interschool Literary Fest organised by  Ramakrishna math, Vyttila in connection with National Youth Day,our students won various prizes
  • Pranith N R of Std V  received the certificates and Medal of distinction at Zonal level for Maths, Cyber and Social Science Olympiads.
  • Anavadya Prasad of  Std V received the certificates and Medal of distinction at Zonal level for English and Social Science Olympiads.
  • Sidharth George of Std III, Meenakshi Menon of Std IV ,Nidhika Saish of Std IX and Niranjana Manayil of Std X  are the winners of  of Std II ,Mukund S Ashan V, Nevin K Rijoy of Std V ,Dilan Vinnyof Std VIII and Vishnu Sanu Warier of Std X are the winners of certificate and Medal of Distinction at Zonal level in the Cyber Olympiad.
  • Hrishikesh Praveen of Class VIA secured Second prize in Yoga Asana [category 10-12yrs (boys)] and Second prize in artistic single(boys).
  • Sree Ganga G Rajeev of Class VIA secured Second prize in Yoga Asana [category 10-12 yrs(girls)] and Third prize in artistic single (girls).
  • Sixteen  students qualified  in the Colour Belt Promotion Test conducted by Taekwondo Association of Kerala on 20 February 2023.
  • Daksha Sujith of IV D and  Dyuthi Ajesh of VIII B secured First Rank in All Kerala Sugama Hindi Exam conducted by Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha.
  • Krishna Prasad of Class IX C secured VII th Rank
  • In Maths Talent Search Examination. He received a cash prize of Rs. 450/-
  • In the CVV Inter School Science Exhibition organised by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala,  Pranith N R and  Amy Reju of Class V won the First prize under Category I and Advaith Praveen and K R Pranav of Class VIII won the Second prize under Category 2.
  • In the Akhila Kerala Balajana Sakhyam (Mulanthuruthy union) competition, Sargolsavam, organised by Malayala Manorama, POORNIMA MANOJ of  Std XI secured third position in Light Music ,Shivali S bagged first in Versification, Aswathi T R of Std XI secured second position in versification and Aneeta Jolly secured third prize in extempore.
  • In the All Kerala Diploma examination conducted by BSS Cultural mission,Aswathy T R and Raj Narayan have bagged First rank in  Carnatic music swarapoorna - Vocal and Swarapoorna Mridangam Respectively
  • Gauri V Nair of Class XII  received BSS Diploma in Dance - higher level- Nityopasana (Bharatnatyam)  and Devangana Sanu of Class IX has successfully completed the first year of BSS Diploma in arts- lower level - Chitrapoorna.
  • In the All Kerala Inter School Science Exhibition Cum Competition INNOVERSE 2023 ,organised by Sacred Heart Public School, Thevara, our school team comprising Sandra Susan Manu and Aneeta Jolly of Class IX C won the First prize.
  • In the state level wall painting competition organised by the Vimukthi under the aegis of the Excise Department, our School team bagged the second prize. Our Junior boys team secured THIRD POSITION  in the same tournament.
  • In the Inter School Competition IMAAN 23, organised by Cochin Refineries School, Thiruvaniyur to commemorate vigilance awareness week,THEJUS VARMA of class XII and Abhay R Nair of class XI won second prize in Poster designing and Nived V Menon Bagged second prize in cartooning . They also won cash prize of Rs. 750 each.
  • In TECH NEX UDAAN 2023 - Inter school tinkering competition  organized by Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Eroor     our team secured the third position for ‘Technologies for Smart Cities ’
  • In ABHYUDAYA, the Interschool Tech Fest organised by Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad, Adwaith Praveen and Shreyas Panicker of  VIII B bagged Second Prize for 3D modeling.
  • In the Inter School competition 'RAMAYANA SUDHA' organised by  Amritha Vidyalaya, Edappally, Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram,Tripunithura  emerged as FIRST RUNNERS -UP. Niranjana Manayil of Class X C and Malavika Sreejith of Class IX C bagged first position in Ramayana Parayanam and Ramayana Quiz respectively.
  • CVV Interschool Science Exhibition organised by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala our team won the first prize for category 1 and the second prize for category 2.
  • The Independence Day Activity conducted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai , the entries of Ritika Vishnu of Std I, Nandakishore M S of Std II and Nandini Krishna of V were selected .They have been rewarded with the book titled, ‘The Crazy Wits of Nasruddin Hodja’, published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
  • In the Children’s Book Festival organised in connection with the 26th Kochi International Book Festival 2023, our Student Pranav S Mullackal of Class VIII A has been declared as the BEST STUDENT BOOK EXHIBITOR
  • In the SVAPASYA B MUN 2023 organised by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, Sarang S of Class VIII A received  the Honourable Mention. He represented Kuwait in the UNESCO Committee.

QUIZ CONTESTS

  •  Our school team secured first position in the Interschool competition 'RAMAYANA SUDHA' organised by Amritha Vidyalaya, Edappally
  • In the Interschool competition FREEDOM QUEST organised by Al Ameen Public school, Edappilly our team secured the first position in the Quiz competition .
  • In the Philately Quiz Competition organised by Head Post Office, Ernakulam,  in connection with World Postal Day (09.10.2023) and National Postal Week 2023, our quiz team comprising of S Krishnaprasad (IX C) & Aneeta Jolly (IX C) won the SECOND PRIZE.
  • In the Brainobrain's 42nd National Competition held in Chennai, Anika Abey of II A became the Gold Topper.
  • In the State-level Brainobrain Abacus competition, Vasudev S Ram of Class I C emerged as the Champion and Gautham K R of Class III A became the Silver Topper .
  • In the District Level Interschool Ramayana Quiz competition organised by Parama Bhattara Kendriya Vidyalayam, Vadayambady, our school team comprising of Niranjana Manayil of X C and Malavika Sreejith of IX C won Second Prize  and Ramayana Sree Puraskaram.

SPORTS & GAMES

Throughout the 2022-2023 calendar, our students left an indelible mark across all tiers of the sports pyramid.

  • In the CBSE Cluster 11 Volleyball Tournament held at Assisi Vidyaniketan Public School, Chembumukku, our  Girls Team secured the RUNNERS UP Trophy. They represented the school at  the National Championship held in Himachal Pradesh on November 16th.    Ayline Mary of Class X has been selected as the Best Setter of the   tournament.
  • In the CBSE Cluster XI Athletic Meet held at Sree Narayana Public School, Poothotta, V SREENITHI of class 8 and SIDHARTH VARMA of class 12 won Silver medals for SHot put and High Jump respectively, while Parvathy of class 7 secured Bronze for Long Jump. Sidharth Varma and V Sreenithi have been  qualified to participate in the CBSE National Athletic Meet which will be held in Raipur. In  the CBSE National Athletic Meet held at Raipur, Sidharth Varma of Class XII C secured the Fourth position out of 56 participants in High Jump.
  • In the CBSE CLUSTER XI KHO KHO TOURNAMENT held at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Eroor, our Girls  Team comprising the  following students emerged as the   CHAMPIONS. Diya Dileep of Class VIII has been selected as the Best Player of the tournament.
  • In the 2nd Ernakulam District Kids Athletics Championship held at St Peter's College Indoor Stadium Kolenchery Team Munshi emerged the overall  champions.
  • In the All Kerala Karate Championship organised by Kerala Karate Association, Sreeparvathy V of Std XI emerged the STATE CHAMPION (16-17years) in KUMITE.
  • In the Munshi Memorial Athletic meet 2023-24, held at Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad, our students secured several prizes. Aardhra Shyam of Class IV created a new meet record of 5.67mts in shot put. Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura emerged as the Team Champions in Under 14 girls category and we secured the Sixth position out of 34 schools with 83 points.
  • In the RiverBourn Cup Shuttle Badminton Tournament , Dakshina of Class IV and Mainu  Sara Vinodh of Class IX won the Under 11 and Under 15 girls Singles respectively. Yadhu Krishna of Class IX A won second prize, under 15 boys singles. Chaithanya and Parvathy J of Class VII A emerged as runners-up in the under-13 girls' doubles.
  • In the All Kerala Badminton tournament   Dakshina C P of Std IV emerged the Champion in Under 11 Girls Singles and Runner up in  Girls Doubles.
  • In the Bhavan's Schools Games Championship held at Perumthuruthy, Sree Ganga Rajeev of Class VI A of BMV   secured 2 Gold Medals in Under 12 Girls- Roller Skating INLINE - 500m  and  INLINE- 1000m.
  • In the Choice Cup Football tournament, Girls’ team of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram secured the Runners Up Trophyand Anika P L of Class  VIII A won the GOLDEN BOOT AWARD in the tournament.
  • The Boys Team secured the THIRD POSITION  in the same tournament. Aadidev S K of Class X was recognised as the Most Promising Player of the tournament in the boy’s category.
  • In the Ernakulam District Kho Kho Championship held at Ernakulam Girls High School, our Junior Girls Team  secured Runners Up Trophy.
  • In the Kerala State Roller Skating Championship, Nivid Arun of Class III  has bagged the Second Position, Sree Ganga Rajeev of Class VI  secured the First Prize in Mixed Relay, Second Prize in 1 Lap Road and Third Prize in 100 m Sprint Road.
  • In the 67th  Dr. Tony Daniel Memorial Ernakulam District Athletics Championship held at Mar Athanasius College Stadium, Kothamangalam,  Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura emerged as the Runners up in under-14 Girls category.
  • Prarthana Retheesh of Class VI received silver medal in Artistic Gymnastics organised by Ernakulam Gymnastics Association.
  • In the Inter School Volleyball Tournament organised by Santa Maria Public School and  Junior College, Kottayam our Girls Team comprising the following students secured Runners Up Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 5000/-.
  • In the Kochi Sahodaya Athletic meet held at Sree Narayana Vidyapeetam Public School, Tripunithura, our students secured several prizes.
  • In the MGM Soccer Cup Football Tournament 2023-2024, our boys team of Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura emerged as Champions.
  • Devadathan A S of Class VIII B won the Sixth position in the best under 13 Che Guevara chess competition in the district, held at Regional Sports Centre - Kadavanthra. He received a medal too in the competition.
  • In the Ernakulam District Tennis Championship 2023, Parvana Padmakumar Nair of IX B won the following prizes.

  • In the 18th VARUNA CUP - Inter School Volleyball Tournament, organised by Bhavan's Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara, our Junior Girls  Team won the Runners Up Trophy.
  • Nidhika Saish of Class IX has been selected as  the Best Player of the tournament and Mainu Sara Vinod of Class IX as the Most Promising Player of the tournament.
  • In the Ernakulam Dist. Karate tournament (sports council approved) Girls Kumite  category, Sreeparvathy of XI C secured  the Silver Medal.
  • In the All Kerala Karate Championship organised by Kerala Karate Association, Sreeparvathy V of Class XI C emerged as the State Champion (16-17 years) in Kumite.
  • In the Kerala State Roller Skating Championship 2023-'24, conducted by Kerala State Roller Skating Association , Nivid Arun of Class III A won Silver Medal.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF STAFF MEMBERS

      The achievements of our faculty members underscore their commendable contributions and successes.

  • Smt. Latha S, Principal, served as the  Resource Person for PRP (Prospective Resource Person) in NEP 2020  at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Alleppey.Smt. Latha S, Principal, served  as  the Resource person for the online training on ‘Framing Competency Based Questions’ for the teachers handling Classes X and XII for the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan schools in India and abroad.
  • Smt. Latha S, Principal, served as the  Resource person for an online training session on the topic ‘Cyber Safety and Security’ organised by the COE Thiruvananthapuram.
  • In the Multi Sports Fest for teachers organised by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram secured the fourth position. Our teachers Nithin Kumar, Sajith S, Roopika V P, Aparna Victoria and Reshmi M R  bagged prizes in various events.
  • In HACK4FUTURE tech hackathon competition organised by Saraswathy Vidyanikethan, Miss. Sunitha S Nair,  teacher, Dept. of Science, has been selected as one among  the top 6 mentors from a group of 80 mentors. She is the third best mentor.
  • Smt. Sreerekha U , teacher , Dept. of Mathematics, won the First prize in the Prof. Ganapathy Iyer Quiz conducted at the 56th Annual Conference of Association of Mathematics Teachers of India.
  • Smt. Deepa P, Dept. of Computer Science, attended an in-house training on Artificial Intelligence for Class XI at Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura, organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi. Smt. Srilekshmi M was the resource person. 

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FACILITY

The department of inclusive education has been functioning in our school since June 2003 in order to cater to the children with special needs. We have around 50 children who come under CWSN from classes KG to Std IV and three Educators in this department. These students attend the regular classes with their peers and get the required support from the teachers and remedial educators who are trained in special education.

  • Smt Latha S, Principal Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura attended a two day Prospective Resource Persons workshop on ‘Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Practices’ held at Arya Central School, Pattom, Trivandrum.
  • Smt Nirmala V K, Assistant Vice Principal, Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura attended an online workshop titled, ‘Experimenting with Education’ by Prof. M M Pant.
  • Smt. Nirmala V K, Asst.Vice Principal, attended an online training session on ‘Counseling Techniques’ organised by CBSE. Dr. Kanak Sharma was the resource person.
  • Smt. Nirmala V K, Asst.Vice Principal, attended an online training session on ‘NCF 2023 and its Impact on School Education’ organised by Kerala  Commerce  Forum and Logic School of Management. Dr. Sunil Tripati was the resource person.
  • Shyam Mohan ( Dept. of Physical Education) attended a workshop named, ‘Catch them young  and watch them grow, play with togetherness’ at BVM Eroor, organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Mr Ashok & Mr Rajkumar were the resource persons of the session.
  • Aswathy S ( Dept. of English ) attended an online training on the topic, ‘Empowering students to become responsible citizens’, organised by team CENTA. Ms Shubhangi Arya was the resource person of the session.
  •  Assistant Vice Principal Smt.Nirmala V K,Sunitha S Nair, Geetha S Prabhu , Nivyamol M C, Aswathy S, Hareendranath K , Vineetha C K, Santhi K S Priyanka V , Haritha Vikraman and Resmi Ramachandran attended an online workshop on the topic, ‘Action Research - A pedagogical Approach to Exploring Research Types and Topics’, organised by BAV, Kakkanad. Dr Rama L was the resource person of the session.
  • Lilly Abraham , Juby T J , Shali Pink T S and Shaly Kuriakose attended a programme for guides.
  • The following teachers attended a training session on the effective utilisation of Interactive Flat Panel at BVV, Thrikkakara.Sri Tonny Tom from Senses Technologies was the resource person of the session - Roopika V P, Aparna Victoria , Aswathy P V ,       Aiswarya V B  and Nandini Sagar .
  • Deepa P from Dept of Computer Science  attended an online training session on the topic, ‘How to Teach AI to Students: An Industry Perspective’, organised by Hailabs. Sri Prasad Prabhakaran was the resource person of the session.
  • Radhika R and Aiswarya Suresh , Meera Raveendran ,Syama C S , and Deepthi R  attended an online training session on Awakening by Sri Ramakrishna Mission , New Delhi

  • Smt.Nirmala V K, Asst. Vice Principal, attended a conclave  on "How Sports Can Prevent Youngsters Getting Addicted to Drugs" and  "Get Addicted to Sports, Not to Drugs" at Le Meridien Kochi. Justice Devan Ramachandran was the Chief Guest.
  • Smt.Deepa P, Dept. of Computer Science attended a workshop titled, ‘AI as a Service’, organised by Next Education at Hotel Ginger, Ernakulam. Sri Anoop Mathew was the resource person.
  • Smt. C K Vineetha, Dept. of Home Science attended an online session on the topic, ‘You are Enough’, organised by The American College, Madurai. Dr Vidyaa Hari was the resource person.

ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS

  • TiE Kerala organised a three hour session for students of Classes IX & XI. The main objective of the session was to instill in the young minds about entrepreneurial skills and mentor them so as to generate and nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs.The session was led by Smt. Vinodini Sukumar, TYE Global Chair & MD, TeamOne advertising ,Sri.Aravind Warrier, HR leader, Volvo and Sri. Jolly Jose Pynadath, Co Founder, Happymindz.
  • The department of Physics organised a workshop on telescope making in the open auditorium. Students of Classes VII-X attended the workshop.
  • Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura observed International Day Against Drug Abuse & Trafficking. A special assembly was held in which the chief guest of the day, Sri Sathyanarayanan, Excise Preventive Officer, Central Excise Department threw light on the importance of the day. Kumari Meghna K S of Class IX B delivered a speech on the occasion. An oath was taken to work  against substance abuse and to ensure that society is protected from the menace of drugs.
  • As part of CBSE School Health and Wellness Programme and Sustainable Development Goal 3 - Good Health and Wellbeing, Theme Food Week was observed from July 1st to 7th. In connection with Theme Food Week, S Shivani of Class IX A delivered a speech in the assembly. Videos related to the initiative were shown from Classes I to XII every morning during the week. Students of Class VI attended an orientation session on Health, Nutrition and Sanitation in the AV Room. Smt Meera Venugopal, Smt Aishwarya Suresh and Smt Vidhu Varghese were the resource persons of the session.
  • As part of the Skill Development Programme, students of Class VI attended a special session on Food Preservation. Smt. Teena Anna Varghese, the entrepreneur of ‘Little Treats from Home’ was the resource person.
  • 'Hai Kutties’,the radio show of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram began its transmission in the school . Ann Jeswin of Class IX C & Tejal P Biju of Class IX B are the RJs. Vice Principal Smt. Remya Das S inaugurated the programme.
  • With the vision of improving the employability skills which equip the youth for the challenges in the 21st century, students of Classes XI C &  XII C attended a Career Guidance session in the AV Room. Mr. Nithin Nadavath & Mr. Midhun Mitwa from Logic Institute were the resource persons.
  • Commemorating Kargil Vijay Diwas, on 26th July, the Yi conducted an online session. Captain C Suresh, who retired from the Indian Army addressed the students. He  shared his experiences in the wars and urged the students to be more patriotic and loving towards the country. It was a one hour session followed  by a question answer segment.The students of Class VIII C participated in this online session from the school.
  • Ms.Akhila R, former Bhavanite, addressed the students of Class XII on ‘Facing CUET examinations’. The session was organised as part of ‘Margadarshanam’, the school career guidance series.
  • The students who were interested in quiz from Classes VI-IX attended a motivational talk by Mr. Nandu Ashok, Accenture Strategy & Consulting. Around 35 students attended the session.
  • As part of  Quit India Day Celebrations, a special interactive session with Sri.Sanjayan, Air Force Veteran, was held for the students of  Classes VII & VIII in the auditorium. As part of the celebrations, Students of Classes V- VII participated in a quiz competition titled ‘A Road to Freedom’. Aadikeshav and Dasaradh of Class VII B emerged as the winners.
  • Ten selected students from Classes XI & XII ,along with Smt. Meera Raveendran, Teacher, attended the International Peace 20 Summit for Youth 2023, at the Choice School, conducted on 11th and 12th of August.
  • Fostering their curiosity and interest in technology, students of Class V attended a Robotic seminar. The session was led by Sri. Ezekiel Poulose, System architect, INTEL, Bangalore.
  •  A session on ‘What Next?- Career Possibilities in Commerce’ for students of Classes XI C & XII C was led by Dr. Jyothi Narayanankutty, Assistant Professor, Pune University, Qatar Campus.
  •  Students of Classes V- IX attended the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2023 - Kerala, a quiz, organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature-India (WWF).
  • Fifteen students along with two teachers - Smt. Ramya P R, Dept. of Science and Smt. Srilakshmi M, Dept. of Computer Science attended an interactive session with Dr. S Somanathan at the Vikram Sarabhai Science Park, Kakkanad.
  • As part of World Space Week celebrations, students of Classes IX, X & XI attended an interactive session. The talk was led by Sri. Sreekanth S, Scientist.
  • The PTA of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura organised a Career Guidance session for parents of Classes VI-X. Sri C K Suresh, Harmony mentor, Master Trainer, Life Guide and Excellence coach of ATMA Foundation was the resource person.
  • As part of the Industrial visit, students of Class XII - commerce stream  visited Synthite Industries.
  • In connection with the Reduce Reuse and  Recycle week celebration YI kochi organised a ‘Best out of Waste’ drive wherein the students had to collect dry reusable waste and make useful things from them. Our students from Classes VIII to XII participated in this drive and the products were handed over to the Yi. These were used as return gifts for all attendees of Inspiration Summit as a showcase of hard work of Thalir Schools students and as an indicator of Sustainability.
  • Sanjana C Menon oc class 11, Sreenanda S of class 10, Parvathy N R and Aarnav Shailesh of class 9, attended a two day seminar on Vaikom Satyagraha @ 100, conducted by Antharashtra Pusthakotsava Samiti, Kochi at F M Food World, Tripunithura. The event was sponsored by Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi.
  • A special awareness session in the form of Ottamthullal , ‘Jeevithamanu Lahari’ organised by  ‘Vimukthi’ under the aegis of the Excise Department of Kerala was held at school. . The art form was performed by  Sri. Jayaraj V, Preventive Excise Officer, Ernakulam.
  • The Young Indians Kochi Chapter, under the auspices of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), organised  Inspiration Summit 2023 on November 24 at Chittilappilly Square, Kochi. The summit, with the theme ‘Awakening Potential: Ignite, Innovate, Inspire’, drew over 700 young minds from across the nation, including college students, aspiring professionals, and budding entrepreneurs .The speakers included industry leaders, motivational coaches, and renowned personalities. Our Yi tr in charge Smt. Shany Joy along with 7 students attended the event.  

PTA

  • The PTA continues to extend their help and support in the activities of the school. The committee members are dedicated to the educational success, health and well-being of the students. The PTA generously supported us in the conduct of many programmes like Srushti, Onam, Independence Day, Christmas, Teacher’s Day etc.
  • The PTA of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura organised a Career  Guidance session for parents of Classes VI-X. Sri C K Suresh, Harmony mentor, Master Trainer, Life Guide and Excellence coach of ATMA Foundation was the resource person. 

OBSERVANCE OF SIGNIFICANT DAYS

To commemorate national, international, and cultural occasions, our school arranged various programs and events. These included Environment Day, International Yoga Day, Gurupoornima, Ramayana Week, Hiroshima Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers’ Day, Janmashtami, Gandhi Jayanthi, Founder’s Day, Hindi Day, Sanskrit Day, Children’s Day, Onam, Navaratri, Kerala Piravi, and Christmas, all observed and celebrated with utmost reverence and enthusiasm.

Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas, a CBSE initiative to generate sustained awareness among the public on ‘Cyber Hygiene' was observed in Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram. As a part of it,  Sreehari V S of Class XI A delivered a  talk on the topic, ‘Significance of Cyber Security’ in the school assembly.

In connection with FIT-2023(FOOD, IMMUNITY AND TRANQUILITY-2023), Smt. Meera Venugopal of Biology department highlighted the importance of the FIT event in the school assembly.Manna Susan Soby of Class VI B became the ambassador to spread the motto of FIT-2023‘Nusha- Nutrition, Sanitation and Health’ as she visited the classes in specially designed  attire highlighting the motto. Students of Classes VI, VII and  VIII organised an exhibition based on FIT in the school. 

IMPORTANT EVENTS HOSTED BY THE SCHOOL

The school played host to a range of noteworthy events, each holding its own importance and contributing to the vibrant school calendar.

  • Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram hosted a Capacity Building Programme on Art Integration. Teachers from various CBSE schools across the state attended the Capacity Building Programme. Smt. Sreejyoti N, Principal, Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar and Smt Preetha Gibu,  Vice Principal, The Choice School, Kochi were the resource persons of the session.
  • The Inter School Musical Fest Srushti Tihai -2023 was held in the open auditorium. The renowned Ghadam maestro Shri. Tripunithura N Radhakrishnan blessed the function with his presence as the Chief Guest. Shri. C A Venugopal C Govind , Chairman ,Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, presided over the function. Shri. E Ramankutty, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra addressed the august audience. Shri. Rahul Subrahmanian, renowned music director and composer was the Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony. In the fest, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara was adjudged to be the Overall Champions.
  • Principal,Smt Latha S. inaugurated  Akhila Kerala Balajanasakhyam wing in our school.Chief Guest Sri Josey Varghese, Patron, Balajanasakhyam, addressed the gathering.
  • Selected 55 teachers from various Bhavan’s schools of Kochi kendra attended a workshop on Assessment and Evaluation at Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram. Smt Latha S , Principal was the Resource Person.
  •  As part of academic association with Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kakkanad,  Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura celebrated Cyber Security Awareness month and organised SECURE BYTES 1.0, the cyber security journey towards awareness and practice, by the Dept. of Computer Science  

NEWS PAPER IN EDUCATION

 To sensitize the children to contemporary issues and to help them develop critical thinking and strong reading habits, the Student Edition of ‘The Times of India’ and ‘The Hindu’ are distributed among students of classes VI to XII.

ORATORY CLUB

Oratory club, initiated by the Department of English, is a vibrant, creative and innovative public speaking forum which caters to providing students with a perfect environment to hone their speaking skills. The club which consists of around 60 members functions on every Thursday from 3 pm to 4 pm. It aims to mold students into confident and empathetic speakers . Through various activities, the club aims to cultivate values like responsibility, harmony and excellence. 

THEME FOOD WEEK 2023

To promote Sustainable Development Goal - 3 ,Good health and well-being, our school observed Theme Food Week from July 1st to 7th 2023.Theme food week was based on the motto Eat Healthy ,Live Healthy.

Through this program, which was attended by all the students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the school, it was possible to convey the importance of nutrition to about 2000 families. During this week-long event, everyone brought different types of food and ate it. In the school assembly, proper awareness was given about each day's special nutrition. Informative videos of SDG and importance of health were regularly shown in classes 1 to 12. 

SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Our school has always extended a helping hand to the less privileged section of our society.  We distributed around 50 kits to the non-teaching staff and  deserving families in the neighbourhood. 

 As a part of the Community Outreach Programme, Smt. Shany Joy, Dept. of English along with five students - Anamika Venugopal Geetha (XI A), Ashley Roy (XI A), Anjali P (IX B), Devika M (IX B), Isha Pranidha Deekshith (IX B),visited the Government St. George L P school ,Thiruvankulam to help the  students of  the school to improve their reading, writing and speaking skills in English. 

BAGLESS DAYS

Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura, took a significant step towards promoting joyful learning and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-life application by observing No Bag Day for Classes I-VIII. The initiative aimed to create an environment that encourages experiential learning and reduces the reliance on traditional  classroom learning.This provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and creativity.No Bag Day provided a platform for students to unleash their artistic talents through various art and creative expression sessions. The absence of bulky bags contributed to a more spacious and relaxed learning environment, fostering a positive atmosphere within the school.The No Bag Day at Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura, was a resounding success, emphasizing the importance of experiential learning and holistic development. The engagement of students in diverse activities showcased their talents beyond academic achievements. The initiative not only broke down the barriers between theoretical knowledge and practical application but also contributed to creating a positive and conducive learning environment.  With an intention to elevate the current GK status of students,Value Education experience at the school and to help them to become global citizens, a four week Mystic Land Global Citizenship Education  programme was initiated in Class III. The team consists of Smt. Haritha Vikraman, Smt. Bini K S, Smt. Syama C S and Miss. Sunitha S Nair. 

ECO CLUB

A momentous occasion unfolded at Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram as the Eco Club, aimed at fostering environmental awareness and sustainable practices, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm. The inauguration ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of Sri Manoj Edavanakkad, a distinguished Naturalist renowned for cultivating a mini-forest on his own land. The event witnessed the congregation of students, teachers, and environmental enthusiasts, all eager to embark on a journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.The Eco Club leadership was unveiled during the ceremony, with Nikhil K Menon of Class XI C assuming the role of President.Govind R Menon of Class XI C was appointed as the Treasurer, entrusted with the responsibility of managing the club's financial aspects, while Nivedya Krishna S S of Class VIII A was named the Secretary, tasked with coordinating various club activities.

The Interact club

The introduction  of the Interact Club , sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tripunithura Royale, was a momentous occasion that will undoubtedly leave a lasting imprint on the school's culture. The collaboration between the school and Rotary Club signifies a shared commitment to nurturing responsible, compassionate, and service-oriented leaders of tomorrow. The Interact Club is poised to embark on a journey of service, leadership, and community engagement under the guidance and support of Rotary Club of Tripunithura Royale.The club was inaugurated by the  Chief Guest, Rotarian Aravind P S. The club is sponsored by ROTARY CLUB OF Tripunithura ROYALE. 

Cultural Exchange

Cultural exchange programmes in schools play a vital role in fostering global awareness, understanding, and cooperation among students. These programs provide opportunities for students to interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, promoting cross-cultural communication and appreciation. Our school has chosen Bhavan’s R K Sarda Vidya Mandir, Raipur as our pair school for this programme in the academic year 2023-2024. A team of 8 students and one teacher from Raipur Bhavan's visited our school from 28th October 2023 to 2nd November 2023. The team visited various historical places and tourist places in and around Ernakulam and they got a chance to know about . In return a team of 7 students and one teacher from Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura visited Raipur Bhavan’s on 6 December 2023 and returned on 11 December 2023.
