A heart filled with aspirations is what gives us the ambition of marching forward till excellence is achieved in all our endeavors. It’s time to look back and count on the blessings Lord Almighty has showered upon us. I take great pleasure in presenting the Annual Report of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura.

EXEMPLARY ACHIEVEMENTS IN ACADEMICS
Guided by our pursuit of educational excellence, we strive to keep ancient values alive through our words, thoughts, and actions. The remarkable performance of our students in both the Class X and XII unequivocally demonstrates that our students have brought immense pride to our institution.
Out of 121 students who appeared for the SSCE, 116 secured distinction, with an impressive 18 students achieving A1 grades in all subjects. Yoshitha Nasi excelled in the Science stream, scoring 98.2%, while Navaneeth Krishna emerged as the school topper in the Commerce stream with an outstanding 98.6%. In the SSE, 108 students appeared for the examination, of which 97 achieved distinction, and 20 earned A1 grades in all subjects. Niranjana Manayil secured an exceptional 499 out of 500 (99.8%), proudly claiming the coveted title of school topper in the SSE.
SCHOOL GOVERNANCE COUNCIL
The school council, led by Senior Head Boy Nikhil K. Menon, Senior Head Girl Aswathy T. R, and Senior Sports Captain Sree Parvathy V, comprises House Captains and Prefects who diligently shoulder various responsibilities and execute them with utmost dedication and precision.
GUIDES AND BULBULS
The Bharat Scouts and Guides unit at Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram exhibited remarkable enthusiasm and commitment throughout the academic year 2024-2025. Promoting leadership, discipline, and community service, the unit organized a sapling exchange on Environment Day and a powerful dance drama on Drug Awareness Day. They secured third place in the 78th Independence Day Parade and participated in leadership camps, including the Patrol Leaders' Camp and Dwitiya Sopan Test Camp. A key highlight was the Residential Guide Camp, held from December 13-15, 2024, on campus. The Bulbuls actively participated in yoga demonstrations, cultural programs for Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, and Children’s Day, and a Nature Walk that deepened their connection with biodiversity.
A HISTORIC VISIT TO SRIHARIKOTA
Five of our students and a teacher, along with participants from our sister institutions, had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a historic rocket launch at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. This extraordinary experience not only broadened their horizons but also left them with cherished memories and profound learning moments
ACCOLADES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
It fills me with immense joy and pride to share that our students have earned accolades not only in academics but also in the realms of art, culture, and sports.

  • Our teams that participated in the Science Regional Exhibition at St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School, Kadairuppu, achieved an extraordinary milestone by earning selection for the prestigious National Level CBSE Science Exhibition in New Delhi, standing out among 175 participants from 65 schools. The proud members of the two teams are Niranjana Manayil and Sidharth S. Nair of Class XI, along with Dasharath Ayyapillil and Arnav Anup Kumar of Class VIII. The exhibition will be held from January 29 to February 2, 2025
  • At the 26th All Kerala Bhavan’s Cultural Fest, our school triumphed as Overall Champions in both Category I and Category IV, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication. Additionally, we were honored as the Second Runner-up in Categories I and  IV.
  • A dynamic team of students of Std XII — Nikitha Roy, Anuvind E. N., Nihara G., Shreyas Parthaje, and Alvin Davidson — showcased their exceptional entrepreneurial skills at the prestigious TYE (Times of India Young Entrepreneurs) Finals, proudly securing the First Runners-Up trophy. Their journey continued to the National Level competition at IIIT Hyderabad, where they triumphed in the Startup Showcase, claiming the winners' title and a cash prize of ?10,000.

  • Our school proudly secured the First Runner-up position in the TocH Interschool 'Orateur Eloquent' Public Speaking Competition, highlighting our exceptional oratory skills. Aiswarya Madhavan of Class XI won the Second Prize in the English Elocution event, 'SPEECH CRAFT,' demonstrating her eloquence and mastery of language. Furthermore, Sraddha Athmadevan, also from Class XI, clinched the third position in the Impromptu 'OFF THE CUFF' competition, showcasing her quick thinking and spontaneous expression.
  • At SAPTHA '24, the prestigious All Kerala Inter-School Science and Technical Competition & Exhibition organized by the Mar Athanasius College Association, our talented Class XII team—Nikhil K. Menon, Aswathy T. R., and Ariya Maria Augustine—proudly clinched the First Prize in the highly competitive Ideathon event, earning a cash award of ?10,000.
  • In the Working Model category, our innovative duo, Anuvind E. N. and Sreyas Parthaje, also from Class XII, showcased their exceptional skills and secured the Third Prize, along with a cash award of ?10,000.
  • Sarang Srikanth of Class IX A was honored with the Best Delegate award by the Climate Innovation Council at India MUN. Among 300 participants, he distinguished himself by presenting a compelling draft resolution on climate action.
  • At Prateeksha MUN 2024, hosted by Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, Devarsh Menon of Class VII made a remarkable impact by earning the High Commendation Award for his compelling portrayal of Captain America in the United Nations Superhuman Regulatory Council.
  • In INSIGNIA, the Inter School Art and Craft Competition organised by Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara, Adwaith Aneesh of Class VIII and Malavika Manoj of Class IX secured the First position in INIZIO and VERTO respectively.
  • At the Inter-School Competition UDAAN, held at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, our students displayed remarkable innovation and creativity. Sreyas Panicker and Adwaith Praveen of Class IX secured the Second Prize in the event ‘Assistive Technology’, while Arnav Anup Kumar and Abhinav Ram of Class VIII earned the Second Prize in the ‘Ergonomic Design Challenge’.
  • Our school bagged the Mathrubhumi SEED Haritha Jyothi Award 2023-24 for the invaluable involvement and strong commitment to the SEED project during the academic year 2023-24 in the Ernakulam Education District and for the contribution towards environmental protection.
  • In the Interschool Ramayana Competition held at Amrita Vidyalaya our school team comprising Nandhika M Nair and Raagin C Arun, emerged the Overall Champions.
  • In the Kochi Sahodaya Kalotsav our school was ranked at the fifth position among 41 schools with 589 points. In the CBSE State Kalotsav 2024-25, Dyuthi Ajesh of Std 9 secured second prize for Light Music Malayalam, Poornima Manoj of Std 12 secured Second prize for Classical Music Karnatic and Aswathy T R secured Third prize for Mappilapattu.
  • At INNOVERSE '24, the Inter-School Science Exhibition organized by Sacred Heart CMI School, Thevara, our students showcased remarkable innovation and creativity. Adwaith Praveen and Harishankar of Class IX secured the First Prize in the exhibition category 'Good Health and Well-being', while Anuvind E. N. and Sreyas Parthaje of Class XII earned the Third Prize in the category 'Affordable and Clean Energy'.
  • Our students showcased exceptional talent by bagging numerous prizes in various inter-school cultural competitions held across the city. We proudly emerged as the Overall Champions at ‘Kriti’, the Tech Fest hosted by Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya, and at KAIROS '24, the Inter-School Cultural Fest organized by Assisi Vidyaniketan Public School. Adding to our accolades, we secured the First Runner-Up position in ‘Spiritus’ at Sri Sri Ravi Shankar School, ‘Spectrum’ at Sanskara School, Kakkanad, and ‘Svapasya’, the Literary Fest organized by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor. Our students also earned the Second Runner-Up position at ‘Magnum Opus’, hosted by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, and ‘Aavesham’ at Gems Modern Academy, Kochi and Abhyudhaya, the inter-school Tinkering Fest held at Bhavan’s Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad
  • Our Guides team bagged the Third prize for the Independence Day parade held at the Collectorate Ground.
  • In the various competitions organized by KAP1 Battalion, Hill Palace as part of Police Flag Day and National Integration Day celebrations, our students showcased their artistic and literary talents. Sreya P. and Adwaith Aneesh secured the First Prize in Pencil Drawing, while Beslin Benoy and Anandhita Anil won the First Prize in Watercolor Painting. Additionally, Niranjana R. Nair claimed the First Position in the Essay Writing Competition.
  • In the fashion show by Significant Fashion Company, Sree Ganga G Rajeev of Class VII won the Junior Miss Kerala 2024 title, earning a ?1 lakh cash prize, a brand ambassador contract, and the talent award. She also secured the First Runner-up title in the K.B. International Fashion Show (Teen category), receiving a ?50,000 gift voucher.
  • In the Suraksha Kala Painting Competition organized as part of the Road Safety initiative held at Cochin Public School, Thrikkakara on 2nd January 2025, Malavika Manoj of Std IX secured First prize in Category V and Adwaith Aneesh of Std VIII secured Third prize in Category IV.
  • Our school received an A Grade and The Haritha Vidyalaya Award for the year 2024-2025 from the Tripunithura Municipality
    ACHIEVEMENTS IN QUIZ
  • In the Bharat Ko Jano quiz competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Saraswathi Vidya Niketan, our students delivered impressive performances. S. Krishnaprasad (Class X) and Sreyas Panicker (Class IX) secured the Second Prize in the Senior Category, while Adithya Rajagopal (Class VII) and Joseph Jolly (Class VI) won the Third Prize in the Junior Category. Their outstanding achievements reflect their deep knowledge and competitive spirit.
  • In the INDICA - India Quiz organized by Nexus Consulting, Master Aditya Rajagopal of Class VII and Master Raagin C. Arun of Class VIII emerged as winners in the Junior Category, earning a cash prize of ?7,000 for their outstanding performance.
  • At Labyrinth, the Interschool Quiz Competition organized by Bhavan’s Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad, our brilliant quizzers made their mark with outstanding performances. Madhav Menon of Class XII and Shreyas Panicker of Class IX secured the Third Position in the quiz category 'Perplexus'. Meanwhile, Raagin C. Arun of Class VIII and Adithya Rajagopal of Class VII achieved an impressive Second Position in the category 'Anglica'.
  • In the 38th Bhavan’s MKK Nair Memorial Annual All Kerala Inter School Quiz organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kochi, our team comprising of Raagin C Arun and Sreyas Panicker emerged winners and received a cash award of 10000/-  
  • Our quiz team of S. Krishnaprasad, Shreyas Panicker , Adithya Rajagopal , Joseph Jolly, Madhav Menon and  Raagin C. Arun have also emerged winners  in various inter-school Quiz competitions.
  • Pramith N R, Takshan K Praven, Aravind Nair P, Helen Susan Gagarin & Devangana Sanup emerged as the winners in the online quiz contest organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on the birth anniversary of Munshiji. Smt Vinitha T S, the parent of Aarcha A Aravind(XI C), was also the winner of the contest.

SPORTS & GAMES
Throughout the academic year, our students made an indelible impact at every level of      the sports hierarchy.

  • In the CBSE Cluster XI Volleyball Tournament held at Assisi Vidyaniketan, both the Under-14 and Under-19 girls' teams emerged as winners. Thanmaya Ramesh was honored as the Best All-Rounder of the Under-14 category, while Sreeparvathy P B was declared the Most Promising Player and Sreeparvathy V was awarded the Best Attacker in the Under-19 category. Both teams advanced to the Nationals and performed commendably. Adding to this success, the Under-19 girls' team also triumphed in the Varuna Cup Volleyball Tournament.
  • Our school team emerged Overall Champions at the 3rd Ernakulam District Kid’s Athletic Meet 2025, held at St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery and secured their place in the State Meet, scheduled to take place in Thrissur.
  • We are proud to announce our remarkable achievement in the Dr. Tony Daniel Memorial 68th Ernakulam District Athletics Championship 2024, held at MA College, Kothamangalam. Out of 36 participating schools, our team secured an outstanding 7th position. Our athletes delivered exceptional performances, bringing home numerous prizes and making us incredibly proud.
  • In the Inter School Kho Kho Tournament P of Class V delivered stellar performances held as part of BVMG Court Clash’, the Inter school Games Carnival conducted jointly by the PTA and Department of Physical Education, BVM Girinagar our Under 19 Girls team won the First Runner Up position.
  • In the District Central School Sports Meet organised by Ernakulam District Sports Council, Thanmaya Ramesh, Danial Santhosh,Srihari C Kurup ,Sreenithi V, Diya Dileep Ishani  emerged winners and have qualified for the State Central School Sports Meet.
  • Our athletes shone at the 4th Kerala Central School Sports Meet held at Maharaja’s College Ground. In the Under-14 category, Thanmaya Rajesh of Class VIII secured a silver medal in High Jump, while Danial Santhosh won silver medals in both the 100 meters and 400 meters. Srihari C Kurup also clinched a silver medal in High Jump. In the Under-17 category, Sreenithi V won a silver medal in Shot Put, Diya Dileep earned a bronze medal in the 200 meters, and Ishani S secured a bronze medal in High Jump.
  • Dakshina C P of Class V delivered stellar performances in badminton. She won the Girls' Singles title in the Under-11 category at the Kerala State Sub Junior Badminton Ranking Tournament 2024. At the Ernakulam District Badminton Championship, she emerged as the winner in Girls' Singles (Under-11) and runner-up in Girls' Doubles (Under-11 and Under-13 categories). Dakshina was also crowned the Kerala State Champion in Girls' Singles (Under-11) at the All Kerala State Sub Junior Championship and went on to represent the state at the National Badminton Championship held in Mumbai. Additionally, she secured the runner-up position in the Under-14 Girls' Singles category at the Assisi Shuttle Badminton Tournament and won the Under-11 Singles title at the RBC Ever Rolling Badminton Tournament. She, along with Devananda S Nair of Class V A, also achieved second place in the Under-13 Girls' Doubles category at the same tournament.
  • In tennis, Parvana Padmakumar Nair of Class X demonstrated excellence by winning the Singles title and securing the second position in Doubles in the Under-16 category at the Trichur Tennis Trust Tournament. She was also the runner-up in the Under-16 Singles category at the 62nd K G Menon Memorial Tennis Championship, where she was awarded a cash prize of ?4,000. Parvana further showcased her versatility by winning accolades in gymnastics, earning a cash prize in the Sub Junior Artistic Gymnastics National Championship 2023-24 held at Khelgaon Public School.
  • Ann Jeswin of Class X secured the Third position in 50 kg  (right) 13-15 years Girls Category in Inter Dojo Arm Wrestling Championship.
  • In the Ernakulam district Badminton championship 2024 Mainu Sara Vinod bagged the Girls’ Singles title and Girls’ Doubles title.
  • Prarthana Retheesh of Std VII represented Kerala in the Sub-Junior Artistic Gymnastics National Championship organised by Gymnastics Federation of India, held at Prayagraj. She also secured Gold medal in the 3rd Ernakulam District Gymnastics Championship.
  • At the 40th Dr. K M Munshi Memorial Inter-School Athletic Meet, hosted by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, our students secured several prizes.
  • In the 9th Ernakulam District Yogasana Sports Championship held at Angamaly, we secured the Runners-Up Title. Krishnanjana S Nair, Deena Mary Bipson, Hridhya C S, Vaiga V Nair, Sree Ganga and Hrishikesh qualified and participated in the State-Level Championship.
  • In the Karate State Championship hosted by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, our students secured Gold and Silver medals in individual and team events Sejal N. J, Aniha P. N, Sarangi N. J, and Adithya Jayadev have qualified to participate in the State-Level Karate Competition.
  • Sejal N. J and Sarangi N. J received Bronze medal in Karate State Level Championship 2024-2025.
  • Arjun V Nair of VII B represented the Under-14 Kerala State Team 2024-25 & participated in the interstate matches held at CAP Stadium Pondicherry. He scored a wonderful half Century against Andhra Pradesh after completing 2 state matches.
  • Adhwaith V Nair of class IX B received the Best Promising Player award in the U16 All India Invitation TSC Challengers Trophy- 2025.He received the award from         S Sriram former India player, former Australia assistant coach and current Delhi Daredevils talent scout and assistant coach.
  • These achievements reflect the unwavering dedication, hard work, and passion of our students, bringing immense pride and glory to our institution.

  ACHIEVEMENTS OF STAFF MEMBERS

  • A team of four teachers — Smt. Sree Rekha U., Smt. Geetha S. Prabhu, Smt. Haritha Vikraman, and Smt. Remya P. R. — represented our school at ‘DISHA 2024,’ a prestigious National Conference for teachers organized by Bhavan’s Research and Development Centre, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra. The team earned accolades by securing the First Prize for their outstanding Abstract Presentation.
  • Sri Sajith S, faculty member of the Department of Commerce, was honored as the Best Commerce Teacher of the academic year 2023-2024 among all CBSE school teachers in Kerala by the Kerala Commerce Forum. In recognition of his exemplary contributions, he also received the prestigious National Best Commerce Teacher Award from the Commerce Teachers Foundation, New Delhi
  • In the finals of ABHIRUCHI 2024, Teachers' Conclave, held at Bhavan's Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara, our  team comprising Smt. Haritha Vikraman and Smt. Deepa P secured First prize for the event ‘Echo Tech Harmony’ and the team comprising Smt. Rekha Naick and Smt. Anjali I M secured Second prize for the event ‘STEM TO STEAM’. Smt. Deepa S and Smt. Rekha Naick were adjudged as the Best Presenters.
  • Smt. Nivya Rohini of Biology department attended a 7-day workshop organised by Kerala Scout and Guides for Guide Captains and Flock Leaders.
  • Principal Smt. Latha S has made significant contributions as a resource person, including her role in the NEP 2020 Trainer of Trainers (ToT) program organized by ISTM, Government of India. She also led sessions on Active Learning for the Capacity Building Program (CBP) at Choice School and the Continuous Faculty Development (CFD) program at Navy Children School. Moreover, she conducted an online session on Cyber Safety and Security for COE Dehradun. Along with Vice Principal Smt. Nirmala V K, she attended a two-day Training of Trainers program organized by CBSE at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara. Smt Latha S was the prospective resource person on the National Curriculum framework for School Education at Choice School. She also served as the Venue Director and attended a PRP on Promoting Mental Health and Wellness among Students.
  • Vice Principal Smt. Remya Das acted as a resource person in Physics for a two day workshop for Senior Secondary teachers at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala.
  • Principal Smt. Latha S and Vice Principal Smt. Nirmala V K were the resource persons for a session on Active Learning for the teachers at Rajagiri Public school, Kalamassery which was by COE Trivandrum.
  • Smt Preeti Prabhas from the department of English authored a fiction titled “The Lord of the Crystal, A Mysterious Calling. . .”. The book is available in paperback and hard case versions. She has received the prestigious Yuva Author Award 2025 from Basheer Smaraka Samiti, Thalayolaparambu, on the occasion of veteran author Shri. Mohammad Basheer's 117 th birth anniversary at Thandai Periyar Memorial, Vaikom. She was also honoured with a Ponnada by the Municipal chairperson, Vaikom, Smt. Preetha Rajesh during ‘Sneha Sangamam’ event organised by Senior Citizens Friends Association at Vaikom Satyagraha Memorial Hall, Vaikom.
  • Smt. Shaly Kuriakose of Malayalam Department successfully completed the advanced course for Guide Captains held from 8 to 14 December 2025 at STC Palode, Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Smt Sreerekha U teacher from the Mathematics department presented a paper on the topic ‘Innovating Teaching Strategies in Maths Education’ at the Mathematics Conference organised by MTA at CUSAT.


INFINITY AI & ROBOTICS LAB
Empowering young minds to innovate, explore, and embrace the future of technology, our school proudly takes a giant leap forward with the launch of its state-of-the-art Robotics Lab—a hub of creativity, learning, and limitless possibilities. The Robotics Lab was inaugurated by Sri. Binu A., Assistant Professor at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology. The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Smt. Latha S, Principal of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, followed by the presidential address delivered by Sri. Suresh K., Deputy Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra. Sri. Suresh Sooryanarayanan, former PTA President, extended his heartfelt felicitations
INFRASTRUCTURE ENHANCEMENTS
The new Basketball Court, newly installed Elevator, Open Gymnasium and newly renovated Guest Room and Conference Room were inaugurated by Sri. E. Ramankutty, Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra. The Lilavati Munshi Sabha Griha, an assembly hall, was inaugurated by CA Venugopal C Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The Principals from our sister institutions and all the officials from the Kochi Kendra were also present for the auspicious occasion.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES FOR FACULTY

  • Smt Latha S, Principal Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram attended a five-day workshop on Leveraging Digital Technology in School Education for Master’s Trainers of Autonomous Organisations – Phase III organized by the Central Institute of Educational Technology. NCERT at New Delhi.
  • Vice Principals Smt. Remya Das and Smt. Nirmala V K served as resource persons for CBP programmes.Vice Principal Smt. Remya Das attended 2 days Training of Trainers (ToT), a certified course for being the CBSE Resource person at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala organised by CBSE and ISTM.
  • Smt. Nirmala V K, Vice principal attended an online workshop on Open Educational Resources conducted by CBSE. Dr Jeetendra Pande,Asst Prof,Netaj Subhas were the resource persons.
  • Smt. Mini K, teacher from the Biology department attended a workshop on Development in Biotechnology held at BVM Elamakkara organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The resource person was Dr. Bhavya Balan.
  • Smt. Aswathy S and Smt. Mary Sini,teachers from the English Department attended an offline one day workshop Essentials Of English Language at Ginger Hotel, Ernakulam. The resource person was Shri Chandrashekar H
  • A Consultative Meeting for designing a training module for CBSE Malayalam teachers was organized at our school. Sri Abdul Jaleel, Principal, Periyadakkam MP International School, Kasaragod led the session. Principal Smt. Latha S was the venue director. Principals from various schools facilitated different sessions.
  • A Motivational session for all the teachers of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram was conducted by Shri. Anoop Kumar K V, consultant Psychologist, Wellness Hospital and Director, Active Minds Counselling Centre.
  • As a part of Continuous Professional Development, teachers attended workshops on ‘Focus on Soft Skills and Art integration.’
  • Bhavan’s research and Development Centre, Kochi Kendra organised a workshop for the Principals and Science teachers across India and abroad on the topic ‘How Science learning can be more Experiential, Interesting, Active and Joyful’.
  • A training on Holistic Progress Card was arranged for teachers in the school campus.
  • Smt Shany Joy and Smt Girija P Nair from the English Department attended the Content Customisation for introducing a new book for classes V and VI at Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya.
  • Smt Niveditha Vijayakumar from the Fine Arts Department attended an online course on Significance of the Early Years organized by CIET-NCERT.


ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMMME FOR STUDENTS

  • STEP—a two-day Student Training and Enrichment Program—was organized by IIC RSET and RSET IEDC in collaboration with Bhavan’s School and held at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET). The program provided students with valuable insights into various aspects of Computer Engineering, equipping them with knowledge of the latest trends and innovations in the field.
  • The PTA of our school in association with the Rotary club conducted an awareness talk for students of class XII. Shri Nishil Madathil, Zone Trainer, JC International was the Guest Speaker.
  • In connection with SDG-3 Good health and Wellbeing, an awareness session on prevention of infectious diseases was conducted for students of Classes IX to XII in the Open Auditorium. Basic Life support demonstration was done by Dr. Elizabeth John, Dr. Geevarghese Saji. Dr. Gokul Suresh. Dr. Hrithik R Vallayil, Dr. Neha Elsa Jinu, Dr. Reeba Roy, Dr. Varun A Thombra, and Dr. Vyshanav R Menon. All the resource persons are alumni of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram.
  • An interactive session on Challenges and new opportunities in Vaccine development for Aqua culture for students of class XI B was held at BVM Elamakkara. The session was organised by Indo- German Science and Technology Centre.
  • A class on Cyber Safety and Security was held for students of Class IX at KG Auditorium, Shri Arun P and Ms.Rajna K V were the resource persons.
  • A talk on climate change by Shri Niyas, Scientist Meteorological Centre, on climate change was conducted to students of class IX.
  • Career Guidance Programme for classes XI and XII was conducted by ICAI.The resource persons were CA Deepak Korah Career counsellor, CA Tony Varghese Treasurer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • Career guidance programme was arranged for students of class XI. Prospects in Home Science and opportunities in Commerce were the topics dealt. Shri Jeevan G, Trainer and Motivational speaker was the resource person.  Dr. Treesa  Sindhu P Thomas, Assistant Professor and Dr. Dhanya N, Associate Professor from the Home Science department , St Theresa’s College were the resource persons for the Home Science students.
  • An interactive session was arranged for students of classes VII and VIII with Dr. Pushpa Menon, renowned author of the wonderful anthology of folktales of Kerala Lore and More: narratives of Kerala.
  • A session on Personal Safety (against abuse) organised by Young India, Kochi for students of class VII was conducted. The session was conducted by Smt Lakshmy, a certified Masoom Instructor.
  • 59 students and 6 teachers attended a career guidance session by Dr. Mathew Joseph, HoD Mechanical Engineering and two sessions in the Virtual Instrumentation lab and CAD/CAM lab.
  • Students of class XI and a few Science teachers attended a Special Lecture by Dr. S Somanath, Chairman Indian Space Research Organisation, and Secretary Department of Space Chairman Space Commission on India’s Space Missions at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, T D Road.
  • A High Court Visit - ‘Samvad’ for 32 students of classes VIII to XI was arranged to create a legal awareness among students.
  • Photography workshop - a creative workshop under the aegis of Creative Club for students of classes VI to IX was held. Shri Hari K Menon Photographer, Cinematographer, Writer and Director was the resource person.
  • Career guidance programs were organized for Class XI students to explore various academic prospects. Shri Jeevan G., a renowned trainer and motivational speaker, conducted a session on ‘Opportunities in Commerce,’ while Dr. Treesa Sindhu P. Thomas, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Dhanya N., Associate Professor from the Department of Home Science at St. Theresa’s College, led an insightful session on ‘Prospects in Home Science’ for aspiring Home Science students.
  • Dr Midhula E M, Homoeopathic Physician, Yoga instructor and Lifestyle coach took a session for the students on Lifestyle Diseases and its Prevention.


AWARENESS SESSION FOR SCHOOL VAN AND PRIVATE VEHICLE DRIVERS
An Awareness session ‘DRIVE SAFELY’ for School Van and Private Vehicle Drivers was conducted by Shri Thankachan T J, Retired Motor Vehicle Inspector, Tripunithura was the resource person.

NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP
6 students and a teacher participated in the National Integration camp hosted by Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor in May 2024.

NATIONAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE
This year our school is proudly participating in a Cultural Exchange Programme with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram, Chennai. A team of nine students and two teachers embarked on a five-day visit to Chennai on 3rd January 2025, where they gained firsthand experience of the educational strategies and systems that define excellence there. We are happy to announce that the team from Rajaji Vidyashram is here with us today.

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
The department of inclusive education has been functioning in our school since June 2003 in order to cater to the children with special needs. We have three RCI registered special Educators in this department.and around 40 children who come under CWSN from classes I to Std XII and These students attend the regular classes with their peers and get the required support from the teachers and remedial educators who are trained in special education. At the beginning of this year, we could mainstream two of our students. They have shown improvement and are capable of doing things independently.
PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION
The PTA played a vital role in enhancing school activities throughout the year. They sponsored trophies and mementos for the Shrishti Inter-School Cultural Competition and organized events like the KG Colouring Event on Independence Day, a Stress Management session for Class 12 in collaboration with the Rotary Club, and self-defense classes for girls in Classes VIII and IX with the Women Police Cell. On Teachers' Day, the PTA honored staff with thoughtful gifts, and during Gandhi Jayanthi, they supported a Walkathon and a house-wise cleaning contest.
The PTA also contributed to Secure Bytes 2.0, a cyber-security session, by sponsoring refreshments and gifts. They supported the National Volleyball Team by providing jerseys and ensured students practicing for the Munshi Meet were well cared for. On Children's Day, they distributed payasam to all students and staff and organized magic shows for the KG section and Classes 1 to 5, featuring renowned magicians. These initiatives highlight the PTA's dedication to fostering a supportive and enriching school environment.
The PTA day SAMAROH 2024-2025 was celebrated. Sports and Outdoor events began at 7 am. The formal function was at 3pm in the Kulapati Munshi Hall. Smt N Lathika renowned Playback Singer was the Chief Guest. Director Shri E Ramankutty and Deputy Director Shri K Suresh were present. The Formal Function was followed by Variety Entertainment programmes by the Parents and Teachers.

OBSERVANCE OF SIGNIFICANT DAYS
To commemorate national, international, and cultural occasions, our school arranged various programs and events. These included Environment Day, International Yoga Day, Gurupoornima, Ramayana Week, Hiroshima Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers’ Day, Janmashtami, Gandhi Jayanthi, Founder’s Day, Hindi Day, Sanskrit Day, Children’s Day, Onam, Navaratri, Kerala Piravi, and Christmas, all observed and celebrated with utmost reverence and enthusiasm.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni of our school exemplify the values and excellence instilled by the institution and are very supportive to their alma mater.

  • A team of doctors — Dr. Elizabeth John, Dr. Geevarghese Saji, Dr. Gokul Suresh, Dr. Hrithik R. Vallayil, Dr. Neha Elsa Jinu, Dr. Reeba Roy,
  • Dr. Varun A. Thombra, and Dr. Vyshanav R. Menon, all alumni of our school, conducted an awareness session on prevention of infectious diseases in connection with SDG-3 Good health and Wellbeing. They also conducted a class on Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • A Photography workshop was conducted by Shri Hari K Menon, an alumni of our school, who is a Photographer, Cinematographer, Writer and Director.


OBSERVANCE OF SIGNIFICANT DAYS
To commemorate national, international, and cultural occasions, our school observed all days of importance like Environment Day, Reading Day, International Day of Yoga, Van Mahotsav, Gurupoornima, Ramayana Week, Hiroshima Day, Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Founder’s Day,    Martyr’s Day and other important days with utmost reverence and enthusiasm.

IMPORTANT EVENTS HOSTED BY THE SCHOOL 

  • A grand Praveshanolsavem was organised to warmly welcome the new batch of class 1 students, which marked a memorable start for the young learners.
  • Our school hosted the XXVI All Kerala Bhavan’s Cultural Fest for Category I and Category IV. Nearly 800 students participated. Guru Sadanam Balakrishnan, Padma Shri Awardee was the Guest of honour and inaugurated the Fest. CA Venugopal C Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, Shri E Ramankutty, Director and Organising Secretary Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Shri Suresh K, Deputy Director Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, also graced the occasion.
  • Srushti- Nrithya Preksha, the Inter school dance fest was held at school on 6 June 2024.  Around 18 schools participated. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Kalamandalam Sugandhi, renowned Mohiniyattam Guru.  Chairman CA Venugopal C Govind and Director Sri. E  Ramankutty graced the occasion with their presence.The guest for the valedictory function was renowned actress, dancer and singer Ms. Lakshmi Menon. Bhavan’s Adarsha emerged as the champions and the runner up trophy was bagged by Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya.
  • ‘Vidyarambham’ was arranged at Bhavan’s Bala Mandir at 10 am. Principal Smt Latha S initiated the ritual with the coordination from teachers Smt Radhika R, Smt Bindhu B Nair and Smt Reshmi Prasad. Few young children were introduced to the world of letters and knowledge.
  • In collaboration with Nakshyathra Gurukul, Bhubaneswar, SPICMACAY Kerala organized a mesmerizing performance of ‘Gotipua’, a traditional folk dance from Odisha.
  • In connection with Kerala Piravi Day celebrations, a captivating presentation of Theyyam and Thottampattu was staged by Sri. Sreenivasan and his team from Theyyam Kala Samiti, Nanmanda, Kozhikode.
  • The Academic Association of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram with Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology and Internet society Trivandrum Chapter presented Secure Bytes 2.0, a flagship of PTA. A Cyber Security Awareness Session by Smt Suma Paul, Principal Assisi Vidyaniketan Public School. The session provided insight on several cyber threats, including cyberbullying, phishing, cyber stalking, deep fake and the Dark Web. The session was followed by an Inter school Quiz on Cyber security. Shri Vijay Nair, CISO, Assyst Technologies was the Quiz Master.
  • Road safety club was inaugurated by Shri Abdul Rehman, Joint RTO. A road safety awareness session for students of class VII was taken  by Asst Motor Vehicle Inspector Shri Srijith
  • EIRO - Inter Bhavan’s Robotics Competition was conducted for two days in the school campus.
  • Three days of Guides Camp at our school was attended by 28 students. Captain Lilly and Captain Juby were the teachers incharge. The students were introduced to the basics of scouting and guiding.
  • National Youth Day was observed. Shri Vivek GeorgeEntrepreneur Asst Area Director, BNI addressed the students in the assembly.
  • The XXIV Annual Day was celebrated for the Senior Secondary Section on 20 January 2025. Dr Sunitha Grandhee, Dean of Life- Long Learning and Wellness and Director of Centre of Excellence in Applied Indian Knowledge Systems, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, was the Chief Guest.Smt Remya Das S, Vice Principal formally welcomed the dignitaries. Chairman Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan , Kochi Kendra, C A Venugopal C Govind delivered the Presidential Address. Director Shri E Ramankutty also addressed the gathering. Smt Savitha Thampi PTA President offered felicitations. The formal function was followed by a variety of entertainment programmes. Around 430 students participated, exhibiting their talents on stage. XXIV Annual Day celebration for Kindergarten and Primary section was held on 21 January 2025. Smt Usha K Education Officer, Bhavan’s Shikshan Bharathi, Mumbai was the Chief Guest. Shri K Suresh, Deputy Director addressed the gathering. Shri Manish Manuel, PTA Representative offered felicitations. The formal function was followed by a variety of entertainment programmes in which 630 students participated.
  • A team of 6 teachers from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Ottappalam visited our school to observe and to get mentored by our teachers.
  • The Annual Pooja,  Ganapati  Homam  and Sudarshana Homam was held, seeking the blessings of the Almighty for the upcoming board exams.
  • As a part of our School Safety Program, a Mock Drill for students of Class I to XII in the presence of the personnel from the Fire and Safety department. A safety class was also conducted for student volunteers and a demo session on how to use the fire extinguisher was done.

NEWS PAPER IN EDUCATION
The Newspaper in Education (NIE) programme is an educational initiative that integrates newspapers into classrooms to enhance learning. As part of this program, The Hindu in School, a student-centric edition, is regularly provided to students of Classes V to X. It aims to engage students with current events, improve their reading and writing skills, and develop critical thinking abilities. By exposing students to well-crafted articles and diverse content, the program fosters informed, thoughtful, and responsible citizenship while enriching their overall learning experience,
SERVING WITH PURPOSE
In a heartfelt gesture of social commitment, around 50 kits were distributed to non- teaching staff and deserving families in the neighborhood, ensuring they could celebrate the festive season with joy.
The Yi Team visited St. George L.P. School, Thiruvamkulam, and took the initiative to support financially disadvantaged children by providing them with essential items.

ORATORY CLUB
In today’s world of tough competition, many people have a phobia for public speaking. With the strong belief that children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, the department of English initiated an Oratory Club in the school. The Club focuses on igniting the spark for effective public speaking, enhances articulation skills, eloquence in leadership skills and personal development. We have a total of 50 students from Classes VI to XII who have registered for the club. It functions on Mondays from 3.10 pm to 4.00 pm. The students are trained to be good orators, good listeners, team workers, anchors, organizers through self-learning and practice which is the need of the hour in this competitive society.
SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Nallonam Onam Kits -
As a part of our social commitment and to help the less privileged in the society students from Classes I to XII contributed groceries to get the Onam kits ready. We distributed around 50 kits to the non-teaching staff and deserving families in the neighbourhood.

ECO CLUB

  • As a part of Energy Conservation Week celebrations, ECO club and Seed club organised activities to raise awareness. Interactive charts were used to educate primary students on energy-saving methods, and outdoor classes in natural surroundings enhanced their environmental appreciation.
