Guided by a timeless vision, Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura continues its dedicated journey of nurturing young minds with knowledge, values, and social responsibility.
With gratitude to the Lord Almighty, I have the honour of presenting the Annual Report of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura for the academic year 2025–26, reflecting a year of achievements and a memorable milestone in the school’s illustrious journey.
Silver Jubilee Celebrations – 25 Glorious Years
The academic year 2025–26 holds special significance as the school proudly celebrates its Silver Jubilee, marking twenty-five years of excellence in education.
The year-long Silver Jubilee celebrations were inaugurated on 27 June 2025 by Shri Jagdish Lakhani, Executive Secretary and Director-General of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, who also released the official Silver Jubilee logo. The event featured a vibrant music and dance performance, followed by a video presentation chronicling the school’s remarkable journey. The occasion was graced by Shri Anoop Jacob, MLA, CA Venugopal C. Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi, Shri E. Ramankutty, Director, and other dignitaries, along with the school leadership,alumni and PTA members.
The second celebration, Rajathotsav 2.0, featured a spectacular thematic presentation, ‘Paadasm?iti’, performed by nearly 140 students. This tribute to Kulapati Dr. K. M. Munshi, founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, traced defining moments of his life and contributions, celebrating his vision and the enduring values of the institution. Shri Jagdish Lakhani, Executive Secretary and Director-General, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, was the Chief Guest.
Today marks the culmination of our Silver Jubilee celebrations, with the programme ‘????? ? ???? ? ’ showcasing how Munshiji’s vision continues to guide and inspire the schools.
EXEMPLARY ACHIEVEMENTS IN ACADEMICS
Rooted in holistic education and enduring values, the school takes pride in the exemplary performance of its students in the Class X and XII Board Examinations.
The year stands out as a landmark in the school’s academic journey, recording its best results ever.
Out of 105 students who appeared for the Std XII SSCE, 103 secured distinction. Among them, 20 students secured A1 in all subjects. Abhiram Jayakumar topped the Science stream with 98.8%, while Akshay R. emerged as the Commerce topper with an impressive 99.2%.
In the Std X SSE, 126 students appeared for the examination, with 118 securing distinction. A1 grades in all subjects were achieved by 17 students. Jan Joseph emerged as the topper in SSE with 99.2% . These results reflect the collective efforts of students, teachers, and parents.
SCHOOL PARLIAMENT
The School Parliament, led by Senior Head Boy Sidharth S. Nair, Senior Head Girl Niranjana Manayil, and Senior Sports Captain Ann Mary Bijoy, comprises House Captains and Prefects who uphold discipline and promote student leadership with dedication and commitment.
ACCOLADES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Our students have brought laurels to the institution through outstanding achievements in academics, arts, culture, and sports.
- Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram takes great pride in Niranjana Manayil receiving the prestigious Best Student Award – 2024 from Bhavan’s Shikshan Bharati, a national recognition of excellence.
- Further adding to our honour, our students won the Best Teamwork award at the TiE Global Finals held at Amity University, Noida, along with a cash prize of USD 250.
- Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram is proud to be ranked among the Top 8 finalists out of 700 schools across India in the Green Your School Programme 2025 organised by Indian Green Building Council, a national body established by the Confederation of Indian Industry. The school earned a prestigious grant of ?2.25 lakh in recognition of its commitment to sustainability.
- PRAMITH N R and PRANITH N R secured INTERNATIONAL RANK 1 in the Computer Olympiad organised by International Olympiad Foundation .
- At the All Kerala Bhavan's Cultural Fest 2025, Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram proudly achieved the Second Runner-Up position in both Category 1 and Category 4 and in overall Category I to IV.
- Two of our Sea Cadets, represented the school at the Navy Day programme in Thiruvananthapuram and had the rare honour of meeting the Hon’ble President of India.
- At the Sahodaya Kalotsav, our students showcased exceptional talent across various events, with many, qualifying for the State level, where they further brought laurels to the school at the Kerala State CBSE Kalotsav.
- In the Sugama Hindi examination conducted by Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha , our students secured top ranks.
Our students displayed outstanding talent by winning several prizes in inter-school competitions across the city.

QUIZ CONTESTS
- Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram excelled in the Bharat Ko Jano Quiz, securing First Prize in both the Junior and Senior categories and qualifying for the Regional Finals in Hyderabad. The Senior Team went on to emerge as South Zone Winners and created history by winning the National Finals held in Pune on 11 January 2026.
- After clearing the initial stages of the CBSE Heritage India Quiz, the school team emerged as Regional Champions and qualified for the prestigious National Finals, to be held in New Delhi in February 2026.

GUIDES AND BULBULS
The Bharat Scouts and Guides unit and Bulbul Club of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram actively promoted values of service, leadership, and discipline during 2025–26 through participation in national campaigns, parades, leadership meets, First Aid training, and camps, and activities fostering creativity, social values, environmental awareness, and patriotism.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF STAFF MEMBERS

- Our teachers brought laurels at the Abhiruchi 2025 Teachers’ Conclave organized by Bhavan’s Research and Development Centre, winning across stages: Secondary, Middle and Preparatory Stages
- At the Vidyodaya Camp held at Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal, our teachers showcased exceptional dedication and skill
- Principal Smt. Latha S., Vice Principals Smt. Ligy P. Prasad and Smt. Remya Das, served as CBSE Resource Persons for various Capacity Building Programmes, sharing their expertise on a wide range of academic and pedagogical topics.
INFINITY AI and ROBOTICS LAB
The Infinity AI and Robotics Lab provides students with hands-on exposure to STEM learning, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students of Classes III to VI access the lab during school hours.
Infrastructure Enhancements
- The foyer of the main school building was given a graceful facelift with the addition of two grand decorative doors and a well-designed reception desk.
- The school library was extended to provide additional space and enhanced facilities, creating a more inviting and resource-rich environment.
- The school office underwent a thoughtful renovation, resulting in a more functional, organised, and welcoming space.
- A boundary wall has been constructed to clearly demarcate the school compound from the parking area, with the primary objective of ensuring the safety and security of our students.
- A large fan has been installed in the open auditorium .
- The Bus parking area has been fully tiled.
- The volleyball court is currently undergoing renovation.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES FOR FACULTY
- In line with the school’s commitment to continuous professional development, the Principal, Vice Principals, Coordinators, and faculty members actively participated in various capacity-building programmes, workshops, conclaves, and conferences during the academic year. The leadership team attended national and state-level conferences and specialised workshops on school quality, accreditation, leadership, AI-enabled STEM education, and strategic planning. Faculty members also participated in subject-specific and inclusive education training programmes, while all teachers underwent professional development programmes conducted by CBSE and other recognised bodies.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES FOR STUDENTS
To support holistic development beyond the classroom, the school organised a variety of enrichment programmes aimed at enhancing students’ academic awareness, life skills, and social responsibility.

- Educational Visit – Quantum Theory Exhibition at CUSAT
- World First Aid Day – First aid awareness and demonstrations for Class VII

Cultural Exchange
- As part of the efforts to promote global awareness and cultural understanding, the school has initiated a cultural exchange programme with Bhavan’s NTPC Vidyamandir, Mouda, Nagpur. A team of nine students and two teachers will visit the partner school in January 2026, followed by a reciprocal visit in February 2026, making this initiative a meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.
ACTIVITIES IN CONNECTION WITH SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS OF THE SCHOOL
As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, our school undertook a wide range of meaningful activities and community outreach programmes, reflecting our commitment to service, values, and holistic development.

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
The school adopts inclusive practices to ensure equal opportunities for all students. Department of Inclusive Education, functioning since 2003, supports students with special needs through specialised interventions, individualised timetables, and in-class support. Staffed by three RCI-registered Special Educators, the Centre currently assists about 40 students and facilitates effective mainstreaming and holistic development.
PTA
The PTA of our school has played a significant role in supporting and enhancing various school activities.
- The PTA organised a faculty wellness session, “Sole to Soul: A Journey of Relaxation, Release and Renewal”, facilitated by Ms. Susheela Pai, Movement Therapy Facilitator and Founder of Art Aatma, at BMV, Thiruvankulam.
- As part of the festive celebrations, the Parent–Teacher Association distributed payasam to all students and staff during Onam, and cake to everyone on Christmas Day, spreading joy and togetherness.
- On Teacher’s Day, the PTA presented gifts to all teaching and non-teaching staff as a heartfelt token of love, gratitude, and appreciation for their dedicated service.
- DIGITAL DISPLAY BOARD was donated by the Parent Teachers Association 2024 - 2025.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association convened its Annual General Body Meeting and formed the Executive Committee during the year. The members rendered their valuable cooperation in the conduct of the Silver Jubilee programmes, and a get together has been planned on 26 January with the aim of strengthening alumni participation and future initiatives.
OBSERVANCE OF SIGNIFICANT DAYS
Our school commemorated a wide range of national, international, and cultural occasions, observing days of significance such as Environment Day, Reading Day, International Day of Yoga, Van Mahotsav, Gurupoornima, Ramayana Week, Hiroshima Day, Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Founder’s Day, and many others, with deep reverence and vibrant enthusiasm.
IMPORTANT EVENTS HOSTED BY THE SCHOOL
- Our school also hosted the All Kerala Bhavan’s Principals’ Conference in the month of July 2025.
- The inter-school tech fest SRUSHTI ‘Yuktara 2K25’, celebrating innovation and technology was inaugurated by Sri K. Suresh, Deputy Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, the fest saw participation from 14 schools. A major attraction was the showcase of semi-humanoid robots and an IPL robotic dog.
- The third edition of Secure Bytes (3.0) was organised by Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura on 30 October 2025 to promote cybersecurity awareness and responsible digital practices, in collaboration with Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology Kakkanad, the Internet Society of India (Trivandrum Chapter), and the PTA. A cybersecurity awareness session was conducted for the students, with Smt. Latha S., Principal, serving as the resource person.
- Our school successfully hosted a three-day NABET Preparing Schools for Accreditation workshop, bringing together teachers from various schools for a rich professional learning experience that fostered collaboration, enhanced understanding of quality standards, and promoted best practices in education.
NEWS PAPER IN EDUCATION
The Newspaper in Education (NIE) programme integrates newspapers into classroom learning. Under this initiative, The Hindu in School is provided to students of Classes V to X, promoting awareness of current affairs while enhancing reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS
- Under the Nalla Padam programme, the school distributed Onam kits to the underprivileged and palliative care patients at the General Hospital, spreading festive joy and goodwill.
- As part of community outreach, Grade XI Humanities students visited Sree Poornathrayeesha Old Age Home and engaged residents through yoga, meditation, entertainment programmes, and interaction.
