NATIONAL READING DAY 2025

Reading Day is observed in memory of Shri P. N. Panicker, the father of the library movement in Kerala. The day is dedicated to fostering the habit of reading and highlighting its role in shaping thoughtful, informed, and responsible citizens. As part of this special occasion, our school organized a wonderful event to promote the joy and importance of reading among students. The programme was held in the school auditorium and was attended by students of Classes V, VI, and VII, along with our respected teachers and staff. The programme began with a soulful prayer by the school choir. A warm welcome speech was delivered by Medha Sajith of Class XII B, setting a thoughtful tone for the event followed by the Reading Day Pledge led by Nirupama Vadassery of Class X B This pledge reminded us of our commitment to read every day and grow through knowledge. The most inspiring part of the programme was the guest address by Smt. Nimmi K K, who spoke about how books enrich our minds and help us develop empathy, imagination, and creativity. Her speech encouraged us to make reading a lifelong habit. The presence of esteemed Principal Smt. Latha S and Vice Principal Smt. Remya Das, were also present to inspire the students. The celebration also featured a beautiful recitation by Sunaina Mathew of Class VI D, who brought the magic of poetry alive through her expressive voice.
