WORLD STATISTICS DAY-2025
Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura, observed World Statistics Day on 20th October 2025 in accordance with the CBSE circular (Acad-75/2025). The event aimed to highlight the importance of statistics in evidence-based decision-making and its role in promoting sustainable development. The session began with an introduction to this year’s theme — “Quality Statistics and Data for Everyone.”
Students of Classes XI and XII attended an informative presentation that explained the significance of statistical systems such as UDISE+ (Unified District Information System for Education Plus) and their role in shaping educational policies and governance. The resource person demonstrated how accurate data helps in monitoring growth, ensuring transparency, and improving planning in various sectors.
The session helped students understand how data and statistics form the foundation of modern research, technology, and national development. The celebration successfully fostered awareness about the value of statistics in daily life and encouraged students to appreciate its role in shaping informed decisions for the future.
