he auspicious festival of Navaratri was celebrated with great devotion, cultural fervour, and enthusiasm at Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura. The entire school campus resonated with the spirit of festivity, showcasing traditional rituals, devotional offerings, and vibrant cultural performances.
The celebrations commenced with the arrangement of "Bommai Kolu" (Golu), where beautifully decorated idols and dolls were displayed in steps, symbolizing prosperity, knowledge, and tradition. Teachers, students, and parents actively participated in offering prayers, singing bhajans, and performing rituals.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by dignitaries, who lit the ceremonial lamp, marking the divine beginning of the festival. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as prayers and traditional music created a spiritual aura.
Cultural programmes added grandeur to the celebration. Students presented classical dances, devotional songs, and thematic performances depicting episodes from Indian epics and the worship of Goddess Durga, Saraswati, and Lakshmi. The colourful costumes, graceful dance movements, and soulful music captivated the audience, spreading the essence of Navaratri's cultural heritage.
Special significance was given to Vidyarambham, the initiation of young children into learning, highlighting the importance of education and wisdom.
The week-long festivities not only invoked divine blessings but also reinforced values of unity, tradition, and respect for cultural heritage among the students. The Navaratri celebrations concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and knowledge for all.
